INDIAN BENCHMARKS: SENSEX NIFTY ENDS FLAT, SENSEX CLOSED UP 30 POINTS @ 27673, NIFTY @ 8583
The market has ended with marginal gains. The
Sensex closed up 30.49 points or 0.1 percent at 27673.60 and the Nifty up 10.05
points or 0.1 percent at 8583.40.
About 1722 shares have advanced, 1079 shares
declined, and 180 shares are unchanged.
Infosys, HUL, HDFC, Lupin and Wipro were major
losers while GAIL, L&T, Reliance and TCS were gainers in the Sensex.
HEADLINES OF THE DAY
- Infosys Q2: Good quarterly results, revenue guidance disappoints.
- TCS Q2 consolidated net profit up 8% (YoY).
- UPL in talks with Bayer and Monsanto for acquiring European assets.
The
crucial resistance for Nifty spot is now seen at 8642 and above this 8697
Support for the immediate term is now placed at 8540 and next support will be
8475.
